【開催中 個展】

金沢市を拠点に活動する九谷焼作家・多田幸史氏の個展を開催いたしております。本展では、大型花器、鉢、茶碗、酒器、カップ＆ソーサー、フリーカップ、食器類など、約80点の出展となります。
大きめの作品も多く、またバリエーションも多い、大変見応えある展示となっております。
金沢での初個展となる当展、この機会にぜひご高覧賜りますようご案内申し上げます。

九谷の素材、技術を大切にしながら、粒子が荒くややグレーっぽい九谷の土を生かし、ロクロ成形や手捻りなど様々な技法で成形。上絵付けを何度も焼成することで柔らかい肌や中間色の表現や、部分や全面を様々な素材や温度帯で焼き付けた金属で覆う表現をしています。
器に創作幾何学紋様を着せる表現を意識し、タイトルには文様でなく紋様の文字を使用しています。先人の技術を大切にしながらも、プログレス（進歩）する色絵磁器制作を目指します。伝統を現代に届ける器をご覧頂きたいと思います。（多田幸史）

We are pleased to announce the solo exhibition by Kutani ware artist Yukifumi Tada, based in Kanazawa City. This exhibition will feature approximately 70-80 pieces, including large vases, pots, tea bowls, sake caps, cup and saucers, free cups, and tableware.As his first solo exhibition at Enishira, we hope you will take this opportunity to visit the exhibition.

While cherishing Kutani’s materials and techniques, he utilizes the coarse-grained, slightly grayish Kutani clay, shaping it through various methods like wheel-throwing and hand-coiling.Through multiple firings of overglaze decoration, I achieve soft textures and nuanced intermediate colors. I also create expressions where parts or entire surfaces are covered in metallic finishes, achieved by firing with different materials and temperature zones. Consciously dressing vessels in original geometric patterns, I use the character for “Monyo” (紋様) in titles rather than “Monyo” (文様). While honoring the techniques of predecessors, I strive for progress in colored porcelain production. I would like to invite you to experience vessels that bring tradition into the modern era.
